ABOUT OUR TRIPS

These trips will consist of Kite Fishing with live baits. You will have baits fishing within minutes of leaving the dock. Any pelagic that will eat a live bait will hit a kite bait, including Sailfish, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, and Mahi. We fish 2 kites banked left and right with multiple live baits suspended under them on the surface and will usually have a spinner on the bow totaling up to 7 baits in the water at one time, greatening your odds for success. Kite fishing is where preparation meets opportunity. You'll never forget the first time you watch a lit up sailfish eat a bait right behind the motors! Our fishing here in South Florida is seasonal, we target different species throughout the year. The pelagics off our coast can be caught year round. The sailfish begin to migrate late November all the way through the end of April going into May with the peak being in April/May. December through February we typically catch lots of sailfish and wahoo. Going into the spring in March the big blackfin tunas begin to show, sailfishing is ramping up, as we get into April and May all hell breaks loose as we catch a ton of sailfish, giant blackfin tuna, and mahis, all in the same outing on a daily basis. The big blackfin tunas will stick around until late June. MARCH, APRIL, and MAY are PEAK months, fishing during this time is incredible and a lot of fun!

Wahoo fishing in boynton beach florida

The most effective way we consistently catch wahoo here is by trolling Mylar C- Witches with bonita strips on planers at speeds of up to 8 knots. These baits will be down 40-60 feet and we will zig-zag from depths of 100 feet out to 300 feet. Wahoo fishing is an early morning thing, we typically like to fish from sunrise to mid-morning. The earlier the better, with prime days being a few days before/after either the new or full moon. Wahoo fishing is great in the months of December, January, and February. Our biggest fish are caught around the full moon in July and August.

October, November, December, and April are when we catch some of our biggest fish of the year.

Swordfish will always be my favorite fish of all time. They look like they belong in the Jurassic period. These fish are the hardest fighting pelagic that swims and many people don’t know that they can be acrobatic like a Blue Marlin. We offer daytime and nighttime swordfish trips. During the day these fish are on the bottom, we use multiple Lindgren Pitman electric reels with leads up to 12 pounds to fish baits with multiple blinker lights. At dusk, swordfish rise to the surface to feed all night long on schools of squid and tinker mackerel. We fish 50 wide and 80 wide conventionals with an assortment of lights and glow sticks. There’s nothing more exciting than watching a pair of glow sticks racing beside the boat with a giant lit up swordfish in front of it under the star painted sky! The time we depart the dock for a night trip is based upon the time of year
