Kite fishing involves flying two kites from the boat, each with live baits suspended underneath. This technique allows us to cover more water and target a variety of pelagic species like sailfish, wahoo, tuna, and mahi. It’s a thrilling experience where you’ll often see fish strike the bait right behind the motors!
The peak season for kite fishing in South Florida is from November through May, with the best action typically occurring in March, April, and May. During this time, sailfish, wahoo, blackfin tuna, and mahi are abundant and ready to bite.
